Staying in the Box - The Mission Impossible (Staying Focussed)

Life is a long travel of many small journeys.
We are always on a quest of wanting and getting something

What separates the successful ones from the others is always one simple secret ingredient.
In fact it's no secret and it has been repeated by many successful leaders, visionaries and achievers in the world that

"The most important ingredient needed to achieve anything in life is focus."

You may be very skilled, talented and you might have hundreds of options and ideas to do anything .... But if you don't have a focus, if you don't have a direction, all of the above mentioned becomes ineffective and useless.

1. Be clear about what is it that you want to achieve
2. Know yourself, understand yourself very well.
3. Do a personal audit, analyse your strengths and weaknesses
4. Know what are those things that catch you off guard... Distract you and take you away from your course.
5. Be conscious about them and make sure you avoid them for a while
6. Understand your brain also is a muscle and has to be trained- keep all distractions away until you get used to staying focused and it becomes natural to you
7. It's like you put conscious effort in releasing the clutch while learning to ride a bike and later it becomes an involuntary action automatically controlled by subconscious mind.
8. Practice and learn self awareness and mindfulness

9. Always be conscious of what thoughts and emotions are running in your mind.
10. Learn how you respond to it and how it effects your work and actions.
11. Be alert from your learnings and learn to control your response to further
12. Use productivity tools or alarms or timers to help remind you or countdown timers if needed

13. Always have a detailed plan of what to do for the day that is in course to your goal.
14. Break your work into small tasks. Make it simple for yourself to believe you can achieve it and it's just a piece of cake.
15. Be cautious not to be too over confident.
16. Always make a backup plan.
17. Be in the present, never carry the baggage of the past and let it effect your present.

Success attracts more success. Failure makes more failures.

Make success. A habit.
It is a natural instinct that a human mind remembers only those things that cause you a severe reaction.
Which might either be happiness or sadness.

Make those small things happen. Celebrate and reward yourself for the success.
That will make you want more success.
